Automotive Centre of Excellence

The Automotive Centre of Excellence

The Automotive Centre of Excellence (ACE) at Docklands, which opened in the second half of 2006, is a campus of Kangan Institute. Currently, automotive training in the areas of vehicle painting, panel beating and body making is delivered at ACE, and, as further stages are developed, training currently offered at Coburg and Richmond campuses will move to ACE.

ACE is planned as a focal point for the automotive industry, bringing together automotive training and research and development under one roof. Students training at ACE are working with state-of-the-art equipment, in a purpose built facility.

Kangan Institute is Victoria's largest automotive training provider, servicing all sectors of the industry, fro retail, service and repair to vehicle and component manufacturing and motorsport.

'I'm constantly applying the lessons I learn at Kangan Institute in my everyday work. We're exposed to equipment we wouldn't normally use. TAFE teachers have always been approachable and are always available if I have needed assistance.'
