Productivity Places Program

The Australian government has introduced a new program which offers a great way to improve your skills and find employment.

Developed under the Skilling Australia for the Future initiative, the Productivity Places Program will deliver 711,000 training places over five years in areas of skills shortage to ensure that Australian workers develop the skills they need.

These training places are being delivered in an industry-driven system, ensuring that training is more responsive to the needs of businesses and participants.

Of the places, 392,000 training places will be allocated to existing workers wanting to gain or upgrade their skills, and 319,000 (including 20,000 structural adjustment places) will be allocated to job seekers.

For more information about the Productivity Places Program, visit the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations website at: http://www.deewr.gov.au/Skills/ProductivityPlaces/Pages/default.aspx

Or contact Kangan Institute's Employment Services department on 92792274.
