Skills Reform for Victoria

Skills Reform

The Victorian Government has unveiled a major package of reforms to the Victorian training system, Securing Jobs for Your Future: Skills for Victoria.

Securing Jobs for Your Future delivers $316 million in extra funding over the next four years. This is the largest package of additional funding ever to be invested in the Victorian skills system. It will provide for an additional 172,000 training places, increase direct engagement with business and strengthen partnership with industry.

This will mean big changes and significant opportunities for Victoria's training capacity - a larger overall training market, more opportunities for providers already delivering government subsidised programs and more providers accessing government subsidised places.

For more information on how the new package will affect students, employers, industry and training organisations, click on the fact sheets in the left navigation panel, or visit Skills Victoria to download a copy of the full statement.
