Certificate II in Automotive Studies (Paint and Panel Pre-Vocational)

This VET program:

  • provides participants with the knowledge and skills to achieve competencies that will enhance their employment prospects in the automotive or automotive-related industries.
  • enables participants to gain a recognised credential and to make informed choices in relation to vocation and career paths.

  • Carry out basic panel repair
  • Apply sealants
  • Maintain and test a spray gun
  • Remove and realign body panels
  • Prepare surface and prime a repaired body panel
  • Use and maintain workplace tools and equipment
  • Prepare surface and apply masking materials
  • Set up body alignment equipment
  • Clean a vehicle
  • Cut and polish a painted body panel
