New Enrolment process for 2013
From 2012, there will be a new enrolment process for all VET in Schools (VETiS) students. In line with Skills Victoria requirements, schools will need to include student names on their MOUs and collect other enrolment details on the VETiS Enrolment Form 2013.
Students based at Kangan Institute will complete the enrolment form on their first day of class, while schools with auspiced programs will need to organise for students to complete these forms during their VET class.
Step by step process:
- After receiving a school's Expression of Interest (EOI) form, Kangan Institute's VETiS staff will email the first draft of the MOU to schools
- Schools enter students' names for all programs (including VETiS programs based at Kangan Institute and auspiced/shared programs) on the MOU and return to Kangan Institute's VETiS unit
- Auspiced schools are required to check that the modules reflected on the MOU match your students' enrolments on the VASS system.
- Students who attend Kangan Institute for their VETiS program will complete the VETiS Enrolment Form 2013 during their first class
- Students undertaking a VETiS program at a school which is auspiced by Kangan Institute will need to complete a VETiS Enrolment Form 2013 during their VET class. Schools will need to post these enrolment forms to Kangan Institute before March 15, 2013:

Results and Certificates
Results process for 2013
Schools with auspiced/shared programs will now be able to forward their students' VET results downloaded from the VASS system to and attach a results cover sheet which declares the results to be true and correct to Kangan Institute.
This eliminates the need for schools to re-enter all results on a Kangan results proforma and will hopefully save VETiS coordinators substantial time.
Step by step process:
- Download your VETiS results from the VASS system. You can use the following process on the VASS system: Results Admin - VET in Schools Report - Results/Input Sheets - By Student - VET Results/Input sheets by Student Report Parameters
- Complete and sign off Results Cover Sheet
- Send VASS Results and Cover Sheet by 15/11/13 to:

- You will still need to complete Certificate Request Forms as required by your students and return to the VETiS Unit via email or fax: vetinschools@kangan.edu.au or 9094 3088
NB. If you prefer to use the existing results process, that's okay. The existing process may be useful for schools involved with cluster arrangements.
