Certificate II in Aeroskills

This VET program:

  • provides participants with the knowledge and skills to achieve competencies that will enhance their employment prospects in aviation or aviation-related industries.
  • enables participants to gain a recognised qualification and to make informed choices in relation to vocation and career paths.

Sample Modules (Units 1 - 2)

  • Interpret occupational health and safety practices in aviation
  • Plan and organise work activities
  • Apply quality standards applicable to maintenance processes
  • Interpret and use industry manuals and specifications
  • Complete industry documentation
  • Perform basic hand skills, standard trade practices and fundamentals
  • Apply self in the aviation maintenance environment
  • Perform routine removal and installations of miscellaneous aircraft electrical hardware/components
  • Fabricate aircraft electrical looms and harnesses
  • Use electrical test equipment to perform basic electrical tests
  • Repair/modify aircraft non-primary structural sheetmetal components
