This VET program:

  • provides participants with the knowledge and skills to achieve competencies that will enhance their employment prospects in the hospitality or hospitality-related industries.
  • enables participants to gain a recognised credential and to make informed choices in relation to vocation and career paths.

  • Develop and update hospitality industry knowledge
  • Follow workplace hygiene procedures

  • Use basic methods of cookery

  • Clean and maintain kitchen premises
  • Provide responsible service of alcohol
  • Provide link between kitchen and service areas
  • Provide food and beverage service
  • Prepare and serve non-alcoholic beverages
  • Develop and update food and beverage knowledge
