Automotive Body and Specialist Trades

The Automotive Body and Specialist Trades department caters for the needs of the retail, service, repair and manufacturing sector in the automotive industry.

One of the first Kangan Batman TAFE areas based at the new state-of-the-art Automotive Centre of Excellence at Docklands, the Automotive Body and Specialist Trades department delivers courses in panel beating, vehicle painting, vehicle body-building and manufacturing, radiator repairs, vehicle detailing, welding, vehicle dismantling auto glazing and tinting.

Our leading edge technology and equipment includes water-borne technology in vehicle painting, computerised chassis straightening equipment in panel beating, computer aided drawing in sheetmetal and body making and leading edge technology and equipment in vehicle trimming.

A flexible approach to training is offered through on and off-the-job training initiatives, workplace assessment and customised training.

We provide a wide range of short courses for the car enthusiast and hobbyist, and we are proud of our excellent links with the industry through our association with multi-national companies.
