TAFE Pathways Program

The TAFE Pathways Program offers assistance to Kangan Batman TAFE students who need help to find employment, or to choose the right course or training program.

Kangan Batman TAFE students are able to participate in the TAFE Pathways Program if they are from one or more of the following cohorts:

  • Koori
  • mature aged (over 45 years of age) and not currently employed
  • CALD (Where English is not your first language from your country of origin)
  • sole parents (whose children are under the age of 16 years old).

Assistance offered includes:

  • Course/Career information
  • personal goal setting
  • information on local job opportunities
  • work experience-practical placement advice
  • resumes, interviews skills and telephone skills advice and support.

Students who hold a Health Care Card maybe eligible for funding to assist with training related costs including:

  • course materials, texts and IT requirements
  • course administration fees

TAFE Pathways staff can work with students at all campuses.

The department runs a number of programs to assist and support people in making important decisions about their future path in life.
