Student focused Work Integrated Learning with you and Kangan Institute
The ICT teaching department at Kangan Institute (Broadmeadows campus in Victoria) is hoping to place many of its students into workplaces for a period of time as part of the Work Integrated Learning (WIL) initiative.
Our students have a solid grounding in the industry and have completed enough study to be of value to your organisation while they complete their qualification.
Last year, sixty of our students participated in this program, and the feedback was consistently positive. At least six of the sixty participating students were offered full-time work following their placement.
Kangan Institute's ICT teaching department will provide backup and support during the course of the work experience placement where required. Like a high school work experience program, this program requires that appropriate paperwork is completed and students are paid a minimum of $5 per day of placement.
We are keen to get 2012's WIL placements underway and hope that your organisation will see the benefit in participating with us in preparing a new workforce.
If you would like your organisation involved in this program as well, please contact Tashara Roberts from Kangan Institute's ICT department on 03 9254 6169. We look forward to working with you and helping shape the IT workforce of tomorrow!
