Kangan Institute is of good reputation here in Australia, with many different student facilities such as computers and the library, also providing a wide range of different courses - my favourite, of course, was automotive technology.
I enjoyed my study because I gained a lot of skills and practice in the field of automotive technology. The teachers provide you with knowledge that you can use in practice at the school and at the workplace.

The course was also helpful as it showed us the importance of teamwork which helped us learn better, doing group activities. It also included practical work we could 'learn by doing'.

I did my Advanced Diploma in Hospitality Management at Kangan Institute to gain the skills to start my own business. I hope to make my own website about the hospitality industry, offering information on Australian restaurants and hotels.
I enjoyed the management part of the course the most, which included the business plan. I will be able to take what I have learnt in to the future to help me develop my own website. The course was also good because I learnt a variety of things, not just cooking. We learnt the basic framework of the legal part of things too which was very interesting.

The variety of options available to learn about your subjects was very useful. All the studies are very well linked with practical work carried out in a practical world. There is plenty of resource material available in the library for every subject, like teacher lectures, notes and online WebCT, which helped out a lot.

Before starting my Diploma in Automotive Technology I studied English for five weeks at Kangan Institute.
I was very nervous when I arrived in Australia and everything was new. By studying English I made new friends (I still have these friends now!), learnt about Melbourne and also improved my English. I developed a better understanding of the Institute and what it is like in Australia before I had to concentrate on my main course.

I had some friends already studying at Kangan Institute who said I should come do my course here. They said they enjoyed coming here and that it was really good for international students.
I learnt a lot in my course and made use of the library often. I still visit the campus and borrow books. The staff and teachers were very helpful and always made sure I was making the most of my studies. My teacher was always available to help us out and would check over work to make sure we understood the material.

Study at Kangan Institute to further my ability to get a job. I wanted to learn skills relevant to the industry that I aimed to get in. I researched the internet and Kangan Institute was recommended as a good provider on the Chinese Government website.
The thing I enjoyed most about my studies was working in the kitchen and making food. It was also great to meet new people and make new friends. The chef was a great teacher and he knew how to teach us.

I was referred by my agent from home to come study at Kangan Institute. I now see why, with the facilities that we had. I absolutely loved the library and librarians. Having such a facility at the campus made it so much easier to complete assignments and home work which I could do at the campus itself.
I could not have asked for better teachers. They took into consideration that we were from different countries and different backgrounds and made us feel comfortable. They also understood the differences in our beliefs and mannerisms from the culture here in Australia. The teachers were more like friends and also were a great help for references while helping us to get jobs as well.

My first year doing this course was my first ever time in the kitchen. I have learnt so much about teamwork and how to communicate with other people. By cooking, I have also learnt about the culture here in Australia.
Kangan Institute was recommended to me by my agent in China and seems to be highly regarded as it has won awards in 2007 and 2008. It is also a different experience compared to a private school as I have had more hands-on practice.
