Advanced Diploma in Printing and Graphic Arts

Bhupinder Singh, India

I've been an international student at Kangan Institute since February this year, studying my Advanced Diploma of Printing and Graphic Arts.

I first found out about the Institute through a friend of mine who is studying an automotive course at the Automotive Centre of Excellence.

My course so far has covered a wide range of skills in the whole multimedia process, from taking images and Photoshop to Flash 2D animation and InDesign. I'm particularly interested in 3D animation and I'd also like to look at doing further study when I graduate from my advanced diploma course.

Because I've already completed a Bachelor of Multimedia in India, I wanted to see where I could take my skills in Australia, and I'm hoping to eventually work in the graphic design industry.

Studying at Kangan Institute has been a good experience. The people are nice and I can catch up with my friends in the new international lounge.

'The Kangan Institute teachers are great; they all have a strong practical understanding of the industry. The mix of on the job and off the job training has also been really valuable, the practical experience and the theory ensures you know all the fundamentals of the trade.'
