Advanced Diploma in Hospitality Management

I did my Advanced Diploma in Hospitality Management at Kangan Institute to gain the skills to start my own business. I hope to make my own website about the hospitality industry, offering information on Australian restaurants and hotels.

I enjoyed the management part of the course the most, which included the business plan. I will be able to take what I have learnt in to the future to help me develop my own website. The course was also good because I learnt a variety of things, not just cooking. We learnt the basic framework of the legal part of things too which was very interesting.

It has also been great to learn how to cook a variety of different foods and how to work in the kitchen. My favourite thing to cook at home is chicken parmigiana.

Kangan Institute seemed very practical as it was close by and the fees were affordable. It also offered a very good learning environment and has been set up well to assist students' learning.
