Free career forums for young people in August/Sept

Kangan Batman TAFE and North West Pathways have organised a series of free Career Information Forums for young people (aged 13-19) and their parents.
A range of experts will speak at the forums, to give young people advice about the training choices and employment opportunities available in a variety of careers and industries.
There will also be a mini expo held at every forum, at which various organisations, including group training companies and educational institutions (i.e. TAFEs and universities) will provide information and have representatives on hand to answer questions. These forums are funded by the Commonwealth Government as part of the Career and Transition Project (CATS).

Are You a People Person?

This forum will focus on careers in “Travel” including Travel Agents, Security, Pilots, Flight/Ground Crew and Engineers. Listen to experts discuss the state of job opportunities in the current world climate.

This forum will focus on the jobs that everyone wants but only a few get. The panel will include professionals from the areas of Law, Medicine, Forensic Science, Elite Sport and the Entertainment Industry. Discussion will focus on the reality of obtaining these careers and possible alternative avenues within these industries.
