Kangan Batman's short course guide best in Australia

18 October 2004

At the recent Australian TAFE Marketing Association (ATMA) Award ceremony Kangan Batman TAFE took out the 2004 national award for a Course Guide.

Kangan Batman TAFE won the award for the January to June 2004 Short Course Guide. We were finalists in three other sections of the ATMA awards and were also part of the team from ATCON that won the Business Development award for strategic partnership and/or innovation.

The award ceremony on 14 October was part of a two and a half day national conference held in Melbourne this year for TAFE marketing practitioners from across Australia.

The Aviation and Engineering department's flight simulator was a finalist in the promotional materials category. The flight simulator is used at careers expos, community festivals, industry expos and information evenings and is a proven drawcard at these events.

The internal staff newsletter, K-Files was a finalist in Category 2 for Newsletter or Magazine - Internal, and was the only online newsletter nominated.

The Industry Training department was part of the Australian TAFE Consortium (ATCON) that won the Business Development - Strategic Partnership and/or innovation category for their work with the Department of Defence.
