Kangan Batman's Toolbox ready for takeoff

Kangan Batman TAFE is one of seven successful developers for Series 8 Flexible Learning Toolboxes which assist teachers and trainers deliver online training to students.
Flexible Learning Toolboxes are a cost effective, high quality e-learning product that are provided on CD-ROM, can be installed on a server or used on a stand-alone computer.
Teachers and trainers can use Toolboxes to help deliver more than 135 qualifications and more than 850 competencies. Toolboxes support the online delivery of vocational education and training (VET) qualifications from Certificate I to Diploma level.
Kangan Batman's Series 8 Toolbox will be for a Diploma of Aeroskills and the development of the Toolbox will be overseen by the 2005 Framework's Quality e-learning Resources Project.
Project manager, Peter Robertson, said "At long last the Aeroskills teachers will get a resource that will assist them into moving into online delivery. CASA have a large input into this project as well, as they are the body that certify maintenance engineers."
"We have an excellent content expert, Allan Jones, who is doing most of the content development, with support form his colleagues in the Aviation department."

All the developers recently submitted a prototype of their Toolboxes and it is expected the finished product will be ready for sale in December this year.
The 2005 Framework provides the vocational education and training system with e-learning professional development opportunities, products, resources and support to meet today's increasingly technology-driven learning environment.
The 2005 Framework is a one-year, AUD $15million national strategy collaboratively funded by the Australian Government and all States and Territories.
