Networking event targets women in automotive industry

A special luncheon, to be held on International Women's Day this year, invites women from all sectors of the automotive industry to come together for an afternoon of networking and fun.
Organised by the Automotive Centre of Excellence, this 'Women in Automotive' event encourages women to celebrate achievements in this non-traditional career field.
Guest speaker Avril Henry has a career spanning senior roles in Finance, IT, Project Management, Change Management and HR in Australia and internationally. Ms Henry is an experienced speaker, facilitator and coach and inspires exceptional performance. Drawing on her career in human resources, business and change management, she is passionate about challenging traditional work styles and making a difference.
This Women in Automotive Luncheon is the first in a series of events recognising the achievements of females in the auto industry, with the inaugural Women in Automotive Excellence Awards, open to women working in automotive trades, retail, administration and management, and to outstanding female automotive students, to be announced at the event.
Tickets ($85 inc. GST) include a two-course lunch at the Windsor Hotel, 103 Spring Street, Melbourne. Five dollars from every ticket sold will be donated to breast cancer research.
