Unsigned Bands Wanted for Band Slam

The search is on for young, unsigned musicians between 15-25 years old to compete in Kangan Batman TAFE's own version of a battle of the bands competition.
Dubbed 'Band Slam,' this inaugural event will be held at the Northcote Town Hall on Friday 15 June 2007. This is an event entirely produced by second-year event management students at the Broadmeadows campus, as part of their curriculum.
'Band Slam is going to be huge,' said Event Management student Erin Nicholls. 'This is an exciting project for us because we can help talented musicians rise to fame.
'We encourage all musicians, whether you're in a school band or not, to register to win fantastic prizes.'
Bands or musicians must send their details (band name, contact person and contact details, a demo CD and a stamped-self addressed envelope for the return of the demo) to:

Secondary school bands can send a detailed reference from their music teacher in place of the demo.
Entry fee is $10 per band member. Invoices will be mailed out after expressions of interest are received.
Entries close on Friday 4 May 2007.
