National WorldSkills Competition

500 of Australia's best will battle for a gold medal in 50 trade and skill categories on July 11- 13, 2008 in Sydney.

The country's best apprentices, trainees and school students will compete for three days for a chance at the National WorldSkills title in front of 60,000 spectators.

Kangan Batman TAFE will re represented by 13 students in 13 different categories. The diverse range of skills on show will include everything from automotive to IT, carpentry to fashion.

‘The WorldSkills competitions show the rest of the country what remarkable talent we have here and prove that the future of skills and trades is worth investing in,' WorldSkills Australia CEO Mark Callaghan said.

Kangan Batman TAFE has thrown its full support behind the students representing the Institute.

‘We are really looking forward to the National Competition and we are confident the students will do their best and live up to Kangan Batman TAFE's record of excellence', Kangan Batman TAFE CEO Ray Griffith said.
