The Rip It Up Youth Fest is a huge hit
16 June 2008
The Rip It Up Youth Fest hosted by Kangan Batman TAFE's event management students on May 31, 2008 was a huge success.
The Rip It Up-Youth Fest delivered a day full of entertainment including the Rev Heads display of classic and unique cars, a body art exhibition, a dance off, and the highlight of the day, the Hume Idol competition.
There were three prizes and these went to:
- Jess Kalwig Audrey Studios Idol Winner
- Ai-Thi Ngo International Artist Academy Encouragement Award
- Makita McNally International Artist Academy Encouragement Award.
Approximately 200 people attended the event and all of the profits made from the Rip it Up Youth Fest were donated to Youth Central to help them further the Centre's already exceptional work with young people from the Hume district.
