Annual report judged best in the country
27 October 2008
Kangan Batman TAFE continues to build on the past year of achievements, taking out top honours at the Australian TAFE Marketing Association's (ATMA) 2008 Marketing Awards of Excellence.
Presented at the national awards ceremony in Melbourne on October 9, the ATMA annual awards celebrate, recognise and reward groups and individuals throughout Australian TAFEs who have achieved excellence in marketing.
Peter Harrison, Kangan Batman TAFE acting CEO, accepted the award for the category of best annual report, prospectus or capability document on behalf of the Institute.
"We were up against two other outstanding finalists in our category, with Bendigo Regional Institute of TAFE and Hunter TAFE both presenting their publications for the award," Peter said.
"Our win is testament to the quality and content of our annual report, and the fact that we've been judged the best in Australia is most certainly something we can all be proud of."
The Kangan Batman TAFE annual report is a collaborative production effort which calls on the skills and talents of a range of Institute staff members. Produced entirely in-house, the annual report features contributions from finance, capital development, the board of directors, external auditors and the marketing department.
"As the principal medium through which Kangan Batman TAFE communicates its accountability to parliament, government and stakeholders, the annual report is one of the most important elements of the Institute's planning process.
"While it is primarily a tool for accountability, it also embodies the essence of life and work at Kangan Batman TAFE and I was thrilled to accept the award on behalf of everyone involved in its production," Peter said.
