Matthew Brabham

In rain-soaked conditions on a challenging course, Matthew Brabham took out third position at the weekend's Phillip Island Magic 2009 event.

Team Brabham had a great showing at the last race meet of the year, taking up the challenge in trying conditions. Matthew was supported in the pits by two of Kangan Batman TAFE's motorsports students.

As the racing fraternity takes a break over the festive season, Matthew will head back to the track for a few test runs, before suiting up again for the Australian Grand Prix in 2010.

The up-and-coming racing star, his father Geoff and legendary grandfather Sir Jack Brabham will be in Melbourne this week to attend a Kangan Batman TAFE networking evening for motorsports hosted by the Automotive Centre of Excellence.
