Childcare places now available

16 June 2010

Children may be the future, but it's no secret that they can also take up a lot of time! Thankfully, the Kangan Institute Childcare Centre is available to offer a safe and secure environment for children of staff and students.

Located at our Broadmeadows campus, the Kangan Institute Childcare Centre is currently taking occasional, part-time and full-time enrolments across all age groups for available places in second semester.

The Childcare Centre has been operating for more than twenty years, and operates on a four-point philosophy based on:

  • Providing a safe and nurturing environment that is respectful to the individual needs of each child.
  • Offering a stimulating and challenging program to help develop the child in all areas including physical, emotional, social and intellectual.
  • Encouraging self-esteem through daily routines and activities that provide respect, independence, and build confidence.
  • Welcoming parent and family participation in the centre, and encouraging ideas and suggestions.

Hours of operation are between 8am and 6pm Monday to Friday, with half-day sessions between 8am to 1pm, and 1pm to 6pm.

There's always a minimum of two staff members on duty at any given time to ensure all children receive effective supervision.

Bookings are essential, and places are limited.

For more information regarding the service, fees, or vacancies, please contact Lyn Langshaw on (03) 9279 2421, or email childserv@kangan.edu.au.
