It's a Wrap - Automotive preparing for contestability

5 July 2010

Hybrid Camry - Hybrid and Electric Vehicle Training

The Automotive team took delivery of their first Camry Hybrids this week and revealed the first of their vehicle 'wraps'.

Embracing the Institute Strategic Plan, Automotive chose hybrid technology to replace outgoing traditional petrol vehicles in order to contribute positively to a lower carbon footprint and fuel savings. A double whammy contribution to our Green contribution and Lean practice!

Hybrid Camry - Hybrid and Electric Vehicle Training

The vehicles will be used by the newly developed Automotive workplace team. The team is field-based, and covers the entire state of Victoria visiting industry, schools, and work places.

The vehicle wrap project goes hand-in-hand with the creation of Kangan's Hybrid and Electric Vehicle Training Centre, that was developed this year to service our recently announced VicRoads and VACC training delivery partnerships.

There are nine other market segments identified that will engage and require Hybrid and Electric Vehicle training. The 'wraps' will give us another avenue of visibility and provide an additional platform for Kangan to continue its demonstration of training leadership, development and delivery in new technology.

Watch out for these vehicles at SES, CFA, school, motor industry and other events as we draw attention to Kangan and our preparation for contestability!
