Terms and Conditions

• There are 21 diploma scholarships in total
• The student must be in the final year of education (year 12) and an Australian resident to be eligible to apply
• Places are only for Government Supported Places
• Closing date for applications is November 18 at 5pm
• The diplomas offered are full time only and must be completed within the allocated time frame as outlined on the website
• Where a course has a certificate that requires completion prior to the Diploma or Advanced Diploma - Kangan Batman TAFE will include this as a cost in the scholarship
• The scholarship is up to the value of $5000 and covers tuition, amenities and ancillary fees only
• The scholarship is only valid for up to two years for that course
• Any materials, books, equipment, clothing and other additional costs not associated with tuition, amenities and ancillary fees will be at the expense of the student
• Deferring the course will make the scholarship void
• Scholarship awarded for one course cannot be transferred to another course
• Scholarship is not redeemable for cash
• If a student fails a unit of competency from that course, they will incur any enrolment or other fees associated with resitting that unit
• Applicant must meet VTAC entry requirements (if applicable) to be eligible for the scholarship
• Applications must have a letter of endorsement attached from the school or a family member
• The application must be accompanied with a brief essay written by the student (no more than 300 words)
• The applicant may have to attend an interview as part of the selection process
• The applicant must be available from 16 Nov - 4 Dec to attend an interview if shortlisted
• The student may have their story and image used in local press where applicable should they be awarded the scholarship
• If the successful student is under 18 at 1/1/10, the applicant must have permission from their parent/guardian that they accept the terms and conditions of the scholarship
• The Kangan Batman TAFE Selection Committee will determine which students will be awarded the scholarships. The decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into
• Unsuccessful applicants will be notified in writing from 23rd November 2009
