Winner of the KITSA Student Diary Cover competition
The winning design by student Richard Barrett.
Congratulations to student Richard Barrett, who has won this year's KITSA Student Diary Cover Competition.
Richard is currently studying graphic design with the Work for the Dole program and was keen on creating his own work of art for the 2009 Student Diary.
"It's a wonderful course here, and I came from an artistic background so it was all just about me connecting with the roots that I already know," he said.
It took Richard three to four weeks to create the design and features a range of images placed on top of one another. He also wanted to link the design with Kangan Batman TAFE, so he chose images based on what they represent.
"They reflect a lot about the courses that Kangan Batman TAFE offers, such as Fashion and Building and Construction. The colours are also dynamic and represent how from small things, large things can grow," he said.
As the winner of the competition, Richard will be receiving a free iPod. Thank you to all the other students who participated in the competition. All entries can be viewed in the new student diaries which will be distributed next year.
