Introduction to Radio Frequency Identification
So what is RFID?
RFID stands for radio-frequency identification. This technology combines computer power and radio waves, as in the e-tag we are all familiar with. The device in your vehicle contains a microchip with coded numbers. These numbers are read by the radio waves of the overhead scanner when you drive past and your account is updated.
This subject guide offers an introduction to the topic RFID through online links, e-journals and library resources.
