Who is eligible to borrow?

Current students and staff of Kangan Institute can borrow the resources listed in the table below from any campus LLC. We ask that you present your current ID card when borrowing.

Kangan Institute students can borrow a maximum of 20 items at any one time. This includes a limit of two seven-day loan videos/DVDs.

The above fines apply to the late return of items. You will not be able to borrow from Campus LLCs if you have any overdue loans or unpaid fines/charges.

Returning material

We ask you to return all items you borrow by the due date.

All items borrowed, except for equipment and high demand items, can be returned to any campus LLC.

CAVAL Reciprocal Borrowing Program

Kangan Institute students and staff are eligible to borrow from other University and TAFE libraries via the CAVAL Reciprocal Borrowing Program. To register as a CAVAL borrower take your current student or staff card to LLC staff.

Students and staff from other Victorian University and TAFE's with authorised CAVAL cards can register to borrow from Kangan Institute libraries. Conditions apply. Please see LLC staff.

Community Membership

Members of the public are eligible to borrow from the LLC by means of our Community Membership Programme. Conditions apply.

How will I receive notices from the LLC?

All notices including courtesy, overdue and hold notices will be emailed to your Kangan Institute student email address. You will receive a courtesy notice two days before your items are due back. The first overdue notice will be emailed on the day your items become overdue and the second and final overdue notice will be emailed 2 weeks after your items become overdue.
