Pizza Days

SSR will be rewarding all tradies at the Coburg and Docklands campuses for their hard work by giving away delicious slices of pizza - all for free!

Indoor Cricket

Fancy yourself a bit of a Shane Warne or Ricky Ponting when it comes to cricket? SSR is looking for cricketers who want to compete in the annual Inter-tertiary Cricket competition. If you are a keen cricketer and are interested in playing, this is your chance to display your great skills. Dolphin Swim

SSR is giving you the chance of a lifetime to swim and interact with dolphins and seals in their natural environment at Queenscliff. This magnificent trip includes a four-hour tour to Popes Eye, Chainman's Hat and Dolphin habitats. The tour is hosted by qualified marine staff; a wetsuit, snorkel, mask, as well as light refreshments, and transport are all included. Fishing Competition

All students are invited to participate in the annual Fishing Competition, in Hastings on Saturday March 14. Compete against students from other TAFEs and universities and catch yourself a whiting or maybe even see a shark! Cost includes transport, fishing lessons and bait. Places are limited so book your place early by emailing studentrec@kangan.edu.au or call 9425 5713.

Fitness & Health

Please note that during the month of April and May, Student Support and Recreation will be holding 'Fitness & Health Days' for all students. There will be free massages, healthy food giveaways including chicken, salad and drinks and fun activities.

Along with these 'Fitness & Health Days', there will also be free health checks for all students, organised by WorkSafe Victoria and conducted by Onsite Health solutions.

The health check is quick and easy and will help both staff and students understand their risk of heart disease and type 2 diabetes. The check will take approximately 15-20 minutes and you will receive results on the spot. All results will remain private.

Ski Day Trip

Spend an unforgettable day skiing or seeing sights at Mt Buller, one of Australia premier ski resorts. Whether you are a beginner, intermediate or advanced skier, this day is for you. Safe Sex Awareness

Student Support & Recreation will be holding Safe Sex awareness dates across all Kangan Institute campuses during August and September. Paintball Challenge

SSR is giving you a chance to relax from your everyday responsibilities and rekindle your spirit of adventure. Once the adrenalin starts pumping you can't help but love the thrill of the paintball game.

Paintball Challenge game is built around the use of teamwork and strategy, with opposing teams attempting to outwit and out-manoeuvre their opponents. Points are scored throughout the day with one team ultimately reigning supreme. Everyone has fun doing it so everybody is a winner on the day! Horse Riding

Come along on a three-hour horse ride through the beautiful countryside of Whittlesea. This trip caters for the beginner rider to the more confident riders. Health and Wellbeing

To help celebrate national Mental Health week, SSR will be holding Health and Wellbeing activities throughout all Kangan Institute campuses. This event will focus on health, nutrition, fitness, mental health and drug awareness.

Enjoy free shoulder and neck massages. Plenty of free brochures covering the topic of Health and Wellbeing and giveaways will also be available on the day.

Break-Up Party
