Course overview

This program has been designed to assist the car owner who would like to know more about the basic maintenance of their vehicle. The course will explain the language of vehicle mechanics and allow each participant to attempt basic maintenance under direct supervision.

Learning outcomes

This course will involve training in:
- Weekly vehicle Checks
- Identification of vehicle components and their function
- Safety
- Understanding car handbooks/manual
- Car servicing requirements
- Tyres
- Changing wiper blades and globes
- Basic troubleshooting

Participant requirements

Closed toed shoes, Cotton drill long sleeve shirt and pants or coveralls if possible.

Safety glasses and ear plugs supplied.
