Course overview
Strike a light in our welding short course and get the skills you need to confidently perform basic welding procedures. With this knowledge under your utility belt, you can work on any number of projects, from the fully functional to restoration work.
You will be given demonstrations, theory booklets and practical experience in many types of welding, for example:
- Oxy
- Arc
- Mig
- Tig
- Bronze welding
- Silver soldering
- Thermal cutting
You will mainly be welding mild steel, however you may also experience welding stainless steel and aluminium.
Participant requirements:
Everything will be supplied except your own protective clothing. It is preferred you wear cotton drill overalls and safety footwear or shoes with leather uppers.
Minimum clothing is jeans and work shirt, but definitely no synthetic clothing or shoes with synthetic uppers.
