Course overview
This course is designed for those who work in, or who are considering employment in, the hospitality industry either in a food service operation or packaged liquor outlet. Students will study topics including employees' responsibility for serving alcohol, the effects of alcohol on the body and basic licensing law. All employers in the hospitality industry now require this course to be undertaken.

Learning outcomes
This course has been designed to enable participants to:
* Develop techniques to serve alcohol responsibly.
* Explain various facts about alcohol and effects on the body.
* Identify signs of intoxication and describe options to avoid intoxication.
* Demonstrate techniques for handling intoxicated patrons.
* Apply safety in and around licensed premises.
* Demonstrate understanding of basic licensing laws.
Pre-requisite & eligibility requirements
Participants must be 18 years of age or older to enrol into this course.
