Course overview

This course allows operators to work safely on roads, understand VicRoads laws and to direct traffic safely. Course also covers installation of road safety signs and standard equipment in accordance with the relevant government legislation.

This nationally accredited course allows operators to work safely setting up traffic control equipment and directing traffic around road works. It also covers the competency required to implement a traffic management plan in the civil construction industry. It includes: planning and preparing; setting out, monitoring and closing down the traffic guidance scheme; and cleaning up.
This course is appropriate for construction sites and local council works. Participants must be over 18 years of age and bring along safety boots and a safety vest.

Learning outcomes

This nationally-accredited course allows operators to work safely setting up traffic control equipment and directing traffic around road works. It allows operators to work safely on roads, understand VicRoads laws and to direct traffic safely.

Pre-requisite & eligibility requirements

Applicants must be 18 years or over.

Participant requirements

Safety boots are essential. It is advisable to bring along a Safety Vest. If you do not have a Safety Vest, a number of vests are available to use on the day.

Additional information

Course also covers installation of road safety signs and standard equipment in accordance with the relevant government legislation.

What you receive at the completion of the course?

Photo ID card with a five month expiry date until the log book requirements have been met.
