Course overview

This course is designed to provide students with general education skills in reading and writing, oral communication, numeracy and mathematics; along with general modules that may include computers.

Your current skill level will determine the level you enter the program. Not all students want to complete all of the streams listed for the Certificate in General Education (CGEA) so the certificates are packaged into smaller programs with a specific focus.

There are three program options available: Adult Literacy and Basic Education, New Beginnings: Program for Women and Numeracy and Mathematics.
