On successful completion you will be awarded the Certificate Ill in Automotive Specialist.As part of the Australian Qualifications Framework this program is nationally recognised.

Credits may be available into related Certificate IV or Diploma courses.
Can I apply?
You must be employed as an apprentice or trainee in the field of engine reconditioning.
How do I apply?
New Apprentices/Trainees will first need to be employed and signed up to a “Contract of training” by an Australian Apprenticeship Centre (AAC).These AAC’s are located in Metropolitan and regional centres.

How will I be selected for this course?
You must be employed as an apprentice or trainee in the field of engine reconditioning.
How long is the course?
The program is run over three years, with 320 hours of classes a year. The New Apprenticeship system offers you the flexibility to accelerate your progress, by such means as: gaining credits from another program, attending more classes, taking material home for home study, sourcing materials from the internet or having your skills assessed in your workplace.
Where and how can I study?
The course is run at our Richmond campus until the end of 2011. From 2012 all automotive courses will be held at the ACE campus in Docklands. You can do your training on block a week at a time, one day a week or at your workplace.
How will I be assessed?
You will be assessed to show that you have achieved the skills and knowledge required by the course. Assessment may include written, oral or practical assessment methods. You will be advised in advance about the type of assessment and the how it will operate. There is the opportunity for reassessment and appeal and you will be provided with this information.
