Course overview

This Certificate III in Community Services Work is an entry level qualification which aims to provide students with general skills and an overview of community services specific skills. This qualification applies to community work delivered through a broad range of services which provide support to individuals and groups.

There are no set prerequisites for this course. However it is recommended that you have satisfactory literacy skills to undertake this course.

How will I be selected for this course?

All applicants are required to attend a compulsory information session which will be followed by a 1.5 hour interview.

How long is the course?

The course is 6 months full-time only.

Where and how can I study?

You will study at the Broadmeadows campus.

How will I be assessed?

You will be assessed to show that you have achieved the skills and knowledge required by the course. Assessment may include written, oral or practical assessment methods. You will be advisded in advance about the type of assessment and how it will operate. There is the opportunity for reassessment and appeal and you will be given this information.
