Course overview

This course is for aged care workers and nurses who are required to manage complex clinical cases, health promotion, team leadership and will be required to supervise and/or co-ordinate a limited number of other aged care workers.

The cost for the full course is $950. This is a fee for service course so there is no eligibility for concession.

This course is designed to provide you with the knowledge, skills and professional attributes for becoming team leaders and managers of complex care both in low care aged facilities and the community.

What skills will I have when I complete this course?

You will gain knowledge and skills required by Team Leaders and complex care co-ordinators.

What qualifications will I receive?

When you successfully complete this course, you will be awarded the Certificate IV in Aged Care Work. As part of the Australian Qualifications Framework, this program is nationally recognised.

What opportunities for further studies will I have?

You may be able to continue on to higher level studies in nursing or management.

You will need to show that you have achieved the skills and knowledge required by the course. You may be assessed by completion of work book and practical work place project. You will know in advance about the type of assessment and the how it will operate. If needed, you will have the chance for reassessment and appeal.
