What employment opportunities will I have?
This course is designed to provide students with advanced office and computing skills including computerised accounting. Upon completion you may be able to gain a high level or supervisory position such as administrative officer, personal assistant, accounts payable or receivable officer or executive receptionist.
What skills will I have when I complete this course?
You will gain and develop advanced office skills including; producing complex business documents and spreadsheets, analysing and presenting research information, organising meetings, customer service and teamwork.
What qualifications will I receive?
When you successfully complete this course you will be awarded the Certificate IV in Business.
This course is nationally recognised by the Australian Qualifications Framework.
What opportunities for further studies will I have?
You may be able to continue on to higher level studies, such as the Diploma of Business.
Upon completion, this qualification can be used as a pathway to the Bachelor of Applied Management delivered by Kangan Institute at Broadmeadows campus or courses at other universities.
Can I apply?
You may apply if you have completed VCE, or have satisfactorily completed Certificate III in Business, or have approved equivalent industry skills and experience.

How will I be selected for this course?
You will be interviewed by our teachers to assess your suitability for the course.
How long is the course?
One night a week for 12 months following the set program.
In some cases a customised approach may be negotiated with the teacher to enable the course to be completed in less time.
Where and how can I study?
Study is at the Broadmeadows campus for one night per week. Students are also expected to work independently on course work and assignments.
How will I be assessed?
You will need to show that you have achieved the skills and knowledge required for the course. You will be assessed by written, oral or practical assessment methods. You will know in advance the type and dates of assessment. If needed, you will have the opportunity for reassessment.

What must you bring to enrolment?
- Proof of Australian citizenship/residency (birth certificate, passport, medicare card or citizenship documents)
- Proof of age if under the age of 20 as at 1st of January, 2013 (birth certificate, driver licence, passport)
What will I study?
You must satisfactorily complete ten (10) units of competency. (See the list of modules).
