What employment opportunities will I have?

This course is aimed at existing personnel who are currently employed in a manufacturing environment and completion of the course may lead to greater opportunities in your specialised area depending on your workplace situation.

What skills will I have when I complete this course?

You will gain skills to supervise in a competitive manufacturing environment.

What qualifications will I receive?

When you successfully complete this course, you will be awarded a Diploma in Competitive Manufacturing. As part of the Australian Qualifications Framework, this program is nationally recognised.

What opportunities for further studies will I have?

This course is part of a suite of related courses in competitive manufacturing. On successful completion of this course, you may be eligible to continue on to higher level studies such as the Advanced Diploma in Competitive Manufacturing, or an undergraduate degree.

How will I be selected for this course?

Completion of Certificate IV in Competitive Manufacturing units is mandatory to enrol in this diploma course.
To do this course it is preferred that you are employed. Note:as above,If not employed consult with the course facilitator.

How long is the course?

The nominal duration of this course is 1150 hours.

Where and how can I study?

You will study on-the-job in a manufacturing environment.

How will I be assessed?

You will be assessed to show that you have achieved the skills and knowledge required by the course. Assessment may include written, oral or practical assessment methods. You will be advised in advance about the type of assessment and how it will operate. There is the opportunity for reassessment and appeal and you will be given this information.

Additional comments

This course has a mid-year entry and enrollment is available for 2nd semester halfway through 1st semester.
