This course addresses the growing supply chain and transport industries which require increasingly skilled and knowledgeable professionals. Students can achieve dual diploma qualification i.e Diploma of Logistics and Diploma of Sustainability with an additional four sustaninability units.

What skills will I have when I complete this course?
You will gaiin the management skills and knowledge required to successfully manage the increasingly sophisticated and complex distribution or supply chain management functions.
What qualifications will I receive?
On successful completion of the course you will be awarded the Diploma of Logistics and with an additional four units (which is optional). Students can also achieve the Diploma of Sustainability. As part of the Australian Qualifications Framework this program is nationally recognised.
What opportunities for further studies will I have?
The Diploma of Logistics is a pathway to studies at degree level in logistics management and e-commerce, or at post graduate level, commencing with a graduate certificate course in logistics or supply chain management, for the more experienced logistics operatives.
Kangan Institute students who graduate with a Diploma of Logistics are able to take advantage of the pathways arrangement with Victoria University (VU). Students can receive advanced standing (credit) in the form of both priority entry and course credit points towards a bachelor qualification.
Can I apply?
You may apply if you have satisfactorily completed VCE or an approved equivalent course and the satisfactory completion of the work requirements (eligibility to transfer); or are mature age and have sufficient work experience to successfully undertake the course. (Mature age is anyone over the age of 18 who has been out of full-time education for more than 12 months.)

How will I be selected for this course?
All applicants will need to attend an information session and /or interview.
How long is the course?
The course will take 12 months to complete on on a part-time basis, and will be conducted two evenings per week, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5.30pm - 8.30pm.
Where and how can I study?
You will study at the Broadmeadows campus, Building T.
How will I be assessed?
You will be assessed to show that you have achieved the skills and knowledge required by the course. Assessment may include written, oral or practical assessment methods. You will be advised in advance about the type of assessment and how it will operate. There is the opportunity for reassessment and appeal and you will be provided with this information.
Additional comments
The course contains 14 units, some of which will be delivered in a cluster format. Students are strongly advised to attend all scheduled classes to successfully complete the course.
Those students taking extra 4 units for Diploma of Sustainability will also complete the course within 12 months.
