Course overview
This course is designed for either pre-registration (subject to accreditation by ANMAC and approval by NMBA) or post-registration applicants. Post Registration applicants must be already medication endorsed.
Post Registration: Bridging course.
There is a Transistion Program in place for registered Division 2 Nurses from the Certificate IV level to Diploma Level. There is now a formalised process for applicants with details about relationships between previous nursing qualifications, units and modules, to support the transition for nurses who wish to upskill and upgrade their qualification. The process is not compulsory but if you want to advance your career options, it is recommended.
Because there have been a number of previous courses and requirements for Nurses in Victoria, the process takes account for the range of post 1995 qualifications held by anyone registered as a Division 2 Nurse from 1995 - 2010. Currently the new process does not cater for the pre 1995 qualified SENs but they can still apply via full Recognition of Prior Learning process and be assessed by that mode.
Please apply through Skills Recognition Centre Skills Store on (03) 9279 2493.
Fees for this process will be calculated individually as there will be a range of previous courses to assess and various gap training requirements and work experience you have done since the completion of your original course and/or registration.
