The Bachelor of Arts (Criminal Justice) program will provide insight and knowledge in the criminal justice processes that address complex issues of crime and it’s effect on society. The program will give you in-depth knowledge and skills required to better understand crime, crime prevention and the criminal justice process, and to analyse and evaluate traditional, innovative and radical alternatives for dealing with crime.
Students will compare and contrast regional, rural and urban crime, and evaluate policies which are designed to prevent crime. The program addresses public safety, forensic psychology, causes of deviant behaviour, and security related issues.

Pathways to further study
Students who have completed the Bachelor of Arts (Criminal Justice) will be eligible for entry into Federation University Australia’s Master of Social Work which is offered at Ballarat in online mode with regular seminars.
Applicants must have completed both a diploma and an advanced diploma qualification in relevant field to be eligible to apply.

**Kangan Institute in partnership with Federation University Australia is offering the Bachelor of Arts (Criminal Justice) in 2015 to graduates of the Diploma and Advanced Diploma of Justice (and graduates of other relevant diplomas). Graduates will receive 12 x 15 (180) credit points (equivalent of 1.5 years of study) as articulation into the Bachelor of Arts (Criminal Justice).
