National Australia Bank

The National Australia Bank has partnered with the National NEIS Association and Business Enterprise Centers Australia, of which Kangan Insitute’s Business Enterprise Centre (BEC) is a member, to assist individuals and families excluded from mainstream finance by providing small, safe and affordable loans.

If you are unable to get a normal business loan through a bank and you have a sound business idea, you are likely to be eligible for a NAB Microenterprise Loan.

Local Council Support

Kangan Institute has partnered with the local councils of Brimbank, Hobsons Bay, Yarra, Moreland, Wyndham, Hume, and City of Melbourne, to deliver free business counseling, mentoring, workshops, seminars and networking events.

Department of Jobs and Small Business

Kangan Institute’s BEC is a NEIS Panel Member for the New Enterprise Incentive Scheme (NEIS). This is a labour market program aimed at assisting people start their own business.

Business Enterprise Centres Australia (BECA)

Kangan Institute is a member of the BECA national network of community based Business Enterprise Centres. BECA is a peak body representing micro small business. It assists existing and intending small business by:

  • Advocating with Federal and State Government on policy and regulation
  • Provide access to confidential and practical business advice
  • Offer seminars, training and workshops on a wide range of business topics
  • Provider business information
  • Referral services to other government agencies and specialist consultants
