Learning-4-Life Pathway Scholarship

Do you know of a young person who is suited for a hands-on learning approach and may benefit from one year's free VET tuition at Kangan Institute?

Our Learning4Life Pathway Scholarship supports and develops young individuals who may be disadvantaged or disengaged and offers them another chance to succeed in their studies and life.

Recipients will also enjoy a free learning pathway assessment to help them identify their unique needs and interests and to choose from our wide range of VCE, VCAL, certificates II to IV, apprenticeships and traineeships, diploma and advanced diploma programs.

This is a non-academic scholarship which means that candidates need not have good grades, just passion to want to take the next step!

Terms and conditions

    Eligibility

  • The candidate must be aged 15 years or over and have Australian residency to be eligible to apply.
  • Application is only open to Victorian government secondary schools and the candidate must be nominated by their secondary school. Two nominations per school are accepted.

How to apply

  • To nominate a student, schools are to complete the attached nomination form and submit as directed.
  • We accept two nominations per school and selection is the responsibility of the school.
  • If an individual is interested, please talk to your school to submit an application.
  • To nominate a student, schools are to complete the online nomination form.

Other terms and conditions

  • The scholarship covers one year's free tuition at Kangan Institute, including VCE, VCAL, certificates II to IV, apprenticeships and traineeships, diploma and advanced diploma programs. The scholarship does not apply to VET in Schools programs.
  • Scholarship recipient will also be entitled to a free consultation with Kangan Institute's NEXT STEP office.
  • The scholarship is approximately valued at $1300 and covers tuition, student services and IT fees only. Any materials, books, equipment, clothing and other additional costs not associated with tuition, student services and IT fees will be at the expense of the student.
  • Deferring the course will make the scholarship void.
  • The scholarship may be used for one course cannot be transferred to another course.
  • Scholarship is not redeemable for cash.
  • If the successful student is under the age of 18, the applicant must have permission from their parent/guardian before accepting the terms and conditions of the scholarship.
  • All candidates agree to have their story and image used for publicity purposes should they be awarded the scholarship.
  • Kangan Institute will notify successful nominees and schools of the application results. The decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
