Explore Your Options Programs

Who is the Explore Your Options program designed for?

EYO is a taster program available to Year 10 students who wish to explore their career options or try out potential VET in Schools programs.

It is also designed for VCAL students who do not wish to commit to a full VET in Schools Certificate program and who would like to try out different study areas to help them form career direction.

When will it run?

Programs run for 10 weeks on Thursdays in Term 2 and Term 3.

What credit can VCAL students get for their VET?

Each program is approximately 50 nominal hours in duration. This is half the time required for the 90-hour industry skills strand unit.

Bridge to Work and Education Programs

Who is the Bridge to Work and Education (BWE) program designed for?

BWE is available for students from special schools who wish to explore their career options or try out potential VET in Schools programs.

It is also useful for VCAL students who do not wish to commit to a full VET in Schools Certificate program and who would like to try out different vocational areas to help them form career direction.

When will it run?

Programs run for 10 weeks on Fridays in Term 2 and Term 3.

What credit can VCAL students get for their VET?

Each program is approximately 50 nominal hours in duration. Please see details for individual programs as they do vary. This is half of the time required for the 90-hour industry skills strand unit.
