Course overview

With Drone Technology being rapidly adopted in various industries, Drone piloting is one of a number of key skills related to emerging technologies that will provide increasing employment opportunities in the near future. This course provides base level training for anyone intending to use a Drone. You will learn the basic skills to safely and legally operate a Drone with our Flight Basics Induction course. Training is delivered using a blended learning approach that includes an online and practical training component. The online component is based on four modules from the Civil Aviation Safety Authority Accredited Remote Pilot Licence course and includes: • Human factors in RPA operations • RPA knowledge of operations and procedures • Electrical and electronic systems for RPA • Operation rules and rules of the air for RPA The online component takes anywhere between four hours and a full day to complete. However, we recommend you undertake the online component in a self-paced manner over a period of time to assist with better learning. The practical component is a four hour session and includes a formal assessment of safe flying skill.
