Am I Eligible?

At Kangan Institute, we define disability as:

  • A permanent, temporary or episodic disability that is attributable to a:
  • medical condition
  • psychiatric condition
  • sensory, physical, cognitive or learning impairment (eg dyslexia)

Or, it might be a combination of conditions that result in:

  • a reduced ability to access educational services provided by Kangan Institute
  • a need for support to overcome these barriers

To be eligible for learning support you must provide evidence of your disability. This could be a Disability Pension Card, a document that confirms your medical condition, or a recent learning assessment.

How do I Contact Disability Support?

Before you contact us, please find out as much as possible about what support you might need to study your preferred course. Please bring reports or information that will assist us with assessing and planning your learning support needs.

For further information or to make an appointment please contact a Disability Liaison Officer on 13 TAFE (13 8233).

NOTE: Kangan Institute provides a range of support services for those of you undertaking government-subsidised courses. Support for those of you undertaking other courses - such as short courses or fee-for-service courses - will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
