Richards Restaurant and the Village Cafe
Richards Restaurant is a fully-licensed training restaurant that is open to the public.
The restaurant is designed to give hospitality students exposure to the restaurant environment while they learn.

What is Richards Restaurant?
Richards Restaurant is a training restaurant for Kangan Batman TAFE's hospitality students, located at our Broadmeadows campus. The restaurant and its production kitchen serve as practical classrooms for students participating in cooking and/or food and beverage service programs, under the close supervision of qualified staff.
Richards Restaurant was named after Harold Richards, who was the inaugural Council President of Broadmeadows College of TAFE (in which Kangan Batman TAFE has its origins).
What does it offer?
Richards Restaurant offers bistro, a la carte, d'hote and buffet service. Our cosmopolitan-style menus change regularly to ensure customer satisfaction. We also run special theme days in which the cuisine of other countries can be sampled.
Recently renovated, Richards Restaurant offers a relaxed, fully-air conditioned environment, with indoor and outdoor seating for 50 seated or 100 standing.
Richards is also fully-licensed with a great range of Victorian wines.

Richards Restaurant is set to make 2008 the most delicious year yet. They already have a number of events scheduled for the coming months and you really can't go past their there course lunches for $16.50 and their three course dinners for $22.

Location
Richards Restaurant is located in block D at Kangan Batman TAFE's Broadmeadows Campus.
Parking is available from Coleraine Street and at the main entrance on Pearcedale Parade.
The Village Cafe
Looking for a place to enjoy a relaxed environment, top quality food and excellent customer service? Then make sure you stop by the Village Cafe. Situated in the Hume Global Learning CentreĀ on Pascoe Vale Road, Broadmeadows the Village Cafe offers freshly brewed coffee and delicious light meals.
Trainee students assist qualified regular staff and are trained by Kangan Batman TAFE teachers. Kangan Batman TAFE has managed the Village Cafe since April 2006. As well as being the perfect spot for a relaxing meal, the Village Cafe serves a greater purpose, providing an alternative training facility for Kangan Batman TAFE's mainstream hospitality students.
The Village Cafe's Function Packages cater for a wide variety of events, whether you need catering for 10 or 200 people. We can cater for morning teas, business breakfasts and lunches, finger food platters, executive buffets, etc.
Open for breakfast and lunch, Monday to Friday from 8am to 4.30pm.
