The Indigenous Education Centre is a purpose-built facility for Indigenous education.
Every aspect of the centre reflects Indigenous cultures from across Victoria, with a particular focus on the local Gunung-Willam-Balluk People.
The building features the excellent Gumbrie-Gurmil Flexible Learning Centre. This Centre includes access to multi-media resources, state-of-the-art computers as well as the comprehensive Wonga Resource Library.
There’s also art exhibitions, music festivals, community projects, and the use of multimedia resources such as toolboxes on the TAFE virtual campus (TAFEVC) and electronic learning packages.
Another highlight of the centre is its unique Indigenous landscape and outdoor learning centre, featuring plants of significance to Indigenous food, medicine and culture, as well as an outdoor auditorium for performing arts.
