    Certificate IV in Property Services (Real Estate) CPP40307 (Full completion).
     

1. AGENT'S REPRESENTATIVE CERTIFICATE

The first step towards a real estate career is to complete the Agent’s Representative course.  This course will provide you with the three entry-level units required by the Victorian Business Licensing Authority to work in real estate in Victoria.

Units of study:

- Identify legal and ethical requirements of property management to complete agency work (CPPDSM4007A)
- Identify legal and ethical requirements of property sales to compete agency work (CPPDSM4008A)
- Work in the real estate industry (CPPDSM4080A).

If you continue on to study the Certificate IV in Property Services (Real Estate) you will receive credit for these units.  

Study options:

- Weekday – four days (Consecutive)
- Saturdays – 4 weekends (Consecutive)
- Evening – 2 classes a week over 4 weeks.

Fees*

The average tuition cost for the Agent’s Representative Certificate delivery (three units) for an eligible student is: $296.00 (including materials and student fees).

2.  LICENSED AGENT COURSE

If your goal is to run your own real estate agency or operate as a licensed real estate agent, then our Certificate IV in Property Services (Real Estate) is your first step towards making this dream a reality.

This course is the qualification prescribed by the Business Licensing Authority (BLA), a division of Consumer Affairs Victoria, as the educational requirement to apply for a real estate licence in Victoria.

The nationally accredited course covers the core units on risk, current legislation and ethical requirements as well as lots of practical skills integral in day-to-day real estate operations.

Classes run on a part-time basis during the evenings from our conveniently located Broadmeadows campus.

You will be assessed to show that you have achieved the skills and knowledge required by the course. Assessment may include written, oral or practical assessment methods. You will be advised in advance about the type of assessment and how it will operate. There is the opportunity for reassessment and appeal and you will be provided this information.

What will I study?

You will study the the practical aspects of building client relationships, appraising and managing properties, leasing and listing properties for sale, managing tenancy agreements and conducting an auction.

Can I apply?

Certificate IV in Property Services (Real Estate) - AGENT’S REPRESENTATIVE CERTIFICATE

To undertake this courses it is expected that you will have satisfactory numeracy and literacy skills.

Please Note:  To be eligible to be an agent’s representative

you must:

  • be at least 18 years old
  • have completed a course prescribed under the Estate Agents (Education) Regulations 2008.

You are ineligible if you:

  • have been found guilty of any offence involving fraud, dishonesty, drug trafficking or violence punishable by three months or more imprisonment (whether or not a jail term was imposed), within the last 10 years
  • are insolvent under administration
  • are the cause of a successful claim against the Victorian Property Fund or a corresponding fund
  • are a represented person under the Guardianship and Administration Act 1986
  • are subject to a Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal declaration making you ineligible to act as an agent’s representative
  • are subject to an order by any regulatory body in or outside Victoria, disqualifying you from acting as an agent’s representative.

Certificate IV in Property Services (Real Estate) – LICENCED AGENT

To undertake this course it is expected that you are currently employed in the real estate industry.  It is also expected that you will have satisfactory numeracy and literacy skills.

Where and how can I study?

Our real estate courses are delivered at our Broadmeadows campus.

As a large educational provider, our students have access to a myriad of student support services and resources as well as our very own Employment Centre to ensure that your study experience is a positive one.

What employment opportunities will I have?

Successful completion of the three Agent’s Representative Certificate units will allow you to work in the real estate industry.

Successful completion of the Certificate IV in Property Services (Real Estate) (24 units) along with evidence of 12 months experience working as a registered agent's representative will enable the qualification holder to run their own real estate agency or gain employment as a real estate agent.

What qualifications will I receive?

On successful completion of the Agent's Representative Certificate units you will receive a statement of attainment for your accredited units and an Agent’s Representative Certificate.

On successful completion of the Certificate IV in Property Services (Real Estate) full qualification (24 units) you will be awarded the nationally accredited, Certificate IV in Property Services (Real Estate).

What opportunities for further studies will I have?

This course can lead to studies at diploma level.
